From 24 January to 3 February, catch the first UK exhibition of Russian artist, GeorgII Uvs, presented by Kalibre at the Saatchi Gallery.
Explore four series of oil paintings created in Malta between 2014 and 2017; ‘Mesozine’, ‘Genesis’, ‘Code’ and ‘Wings’ which symbolise an immersive panorama of the circles of life. These paintings are a fusion of scientific pursuit and artistic imagination created by paint being poured onto un-stretched canvases laid horizontally on the studio floor. When the paint is exposed to ultraviolet light, as you will see in this vivid and brightly coloured exhibition, the paintings reflect the turbulence of the artist’s emotions and energy.
